Institute of Robotics and Communications and Information Technology (IRTIC)

What we offer:
The Institute of Robotics and Communications and Information Technology (IRTIC) has four main collaboration lines with companies and public and private institutions oriented towards technology transfer.
- Massive information management systems in traffic and transport areas. IRTIC is a consultant of National Traffic Authority in Spain and other regional traffic administrations.
- Development of civil simulation for training and virtual and increased reality systems applied to occupational risk prevention and productivity improvement in various industrial fields (transport, railways, construction, maritime, etc..), where IRTIC has installed more than 20 simulators at various national and international centers in recent years. The developments are made for all platforms types (large facilities, mobile devices, etc.).
- Immersive visualization and virtual prototyping center. In this field IRTIC institute has an immersive visualization center with a CAVE and a cylindrical visionarium up to 40 people and Stereoscopy 3D. The researchers develop own hardware and software immersive projection solutions and ad-hoc solutions for custom applications.
- Reconfigurable wireless sensor systems for global monitoring and domotics support based on communication systems of short/medium and long range and ubiquitous computing environments.

What we are looking for:
We are looking for industrial partners that can implement these technologies in integrated solutions for end customers, or users that want to integrate these solutions into their manufacture cycles

Optical Microphone for the remote detection of multiple acoustic signals, speech and heart beats

What we offer:
Researchers of the Bar-Ilan University and University of Valencia have developed a revolutionary, simple and versatile technology based upon a fast image processing and a small laser light source that allows the extraction and separation of remote sound and vibration sources. The approach was successfully demonstrated in detection of various sound sources from remote distances, such as heart beats (which were decoded separately from strong background noises), conversation between people by extracting vibration from surrounding surfaces, or remote monitoring of vibration of buildings, structures and vehicles at distances up to 150 m. The technology can be applied in the field of security, having also multiple applications in the fields of medicine and civilian engineering.

It lets you convert any interchangeable lens camera in a 3D camera and it displays the results without eyestrain for the user. The technology solves the problems of the interchangeable systems in current 3D cameras, such as opening and focal distance limitations, so that the user can use their own objectives, and also avoids the eyestrain problems associated with prolonged viewing of 3D images present in current technologies.The technology can be applied in the field of audio-visual to collect and reconstruct 3D images for viewing.
